“Our objective is to fight for the Privateers’ Championship”
DANIEL BELLI, LANÚS MOTORSPORT

Buenos Aires, April 14th 2010.- Lanús Motorsport driver Daniel Belli (Honda Civic) claimed the first step of the podium corresponding to the  Privateer Drivers in Mendoza. With the six championship points he claimed, he now lies third in the standings, with Franco Coscia leading (Vittal DTA).

You had plenty of work on your hands at Mendoza. How were things aboard the car?

On Saturday I knew I had a good car, but I was not able to get the best out of it because I spun off during qualifying. The changes the team did to the car really paid off. In the race I had a very good rythm, and to finish first, against better-equipped teams, was undoubtedly very important.

You are now third in the standings. What are your feelings?

This result gives us plenty of hope. From now on we will be trying to fight for the Privateers’ Championship. That is our objective for 2010.

What are you expecting at General Roca?

In general, I have not had any good results there. I was never able to get the best out of the performance of the Honda Civic. I hope this year we will be able to revert this situation. We have new elements on the car that we will try out there, such as new front anti-roll bars and some mods in the shock absorbers.
